4Sept tues
today i had another job with sis n jiamin and i was groaning inwardly about it cos i had to be up early and probably standing on my feet, having to bear with domineering in charges n blah blah blah....
but the day was surprisingly wonderful! :)
can you spot the word CONRAD?
WAHAHAHAHA~
it was an IBM conference and we were basically in charge of ushering, registration n other helpouts..
this conference was much smaller than the other one i did with jiamin, elin n jas so the only helpers that day were US!
haha and it was less hectic as there were much less people attending this conference so the registration, excluding the minor hiccups, went smoothly and ended pretty fast.. :)
which means i had lots of time to sit down(i sat for a reasonably long time!), slack, message, look around.................
and take pictures!!

cos it just looks so glamorous yet comfortable to be in...
And C was so nice that day..she jokes, sings, whines about not having her milk n many more(she's quite cute lah), offers us snacks and BEST OF ALL.....
She asks us to quickly GO EAT!!!!!! :D
That day, i ate breakfast, lunch and dinner! :)
And i dun have to gaze at this for such a long time!

there was cheesecake, fruit pies, mango puddings/custard, strawberry jam banana cake, kuehs and MANY MORE!

Gina was asking how come i take so little when she sees me diving straight for one plate of desserts.. HOHO!
i must be crazy to only take desserts can.. hahaha though i can lah..
desserts is satisfying enough for me...
I LOVE IT!
Oh yah and during lunch, jiamin, sis n i were really anxious cos our results were out and we couldnt go online to check..
So in the end we asked elin to help us but the system was jammed so we had to wait really long..
And thus, jiamin went into a state of feeling lost and decides to find a place of solace and peace..
in case you're wondering where we can find such a place in the hotel...

Its under the table. haha;)
He simply retreats under the table out of a sudden.
The lost feeling is REAL.

Evil jiamin n sis!
cos the table had metal bars at the side so there was no way i could move under the table..
As a result, my body was jutting out of the table and so there's like a weird shape when the tablecloth is covered over me..
And they started kicking me can!
saying"aiyo! how come there's this weird shape jutting from the table ah!"
EVIL.
haha and meanwhile, we were taking our time to eat and me n jiamin were doing all sorts of exaggerated expressions, pretending we were eating sth that we didnt expect to be sour(mango pudding-which really is not sour) and den get a shock when its sour..
haha!
jiamin would look so relaxed den after tasting, go into electric shock and den try to pretend its not sour..
n he does it over n over again..
haha aiyah he looks very funny lah!
i was acting very well UNTIL i ate the fruit on the pie..WHICH REALLY WAS SOUR!
Groans.
haha anyways ite a good day cos WE ALL CLEARED OUR SUBJECTS!!

i conclude that elin's com is a lucky com, cos she used it to check the results!
No lah, but seriously, i was so touched to hear that i passed all.. cos i knew that time i didnt study well and was so unsure of all my papers..
Its really by the grace of God, who blesses me..
All things work for the good of those who loves the Lord..
I love Him so much, He hears my cry and knows my suffering..
He calms my anxious heart and promises to take care of me..
He is my saviour, my redeemer, my healer and my LORD of all... =)

Yups so our work at CONRAD ended at 4 but we were to proceed to MT FABER!
cos they were having a dinner event over there!
:) what a nice place to go work at!
And cos greedy jiamin was asking to sit cable car, we all got to sit!!
there were like so many free ticks can!

And we were so excited..den Gina ask isit we never come b4..

Haha our work havent started so we were laughing at the people taking the cable cars just above us..
Den sis was forcing us to wave at all of them.. Some waved back can!
Haha and we started to engage ourselves in yet another acting class..
Haha like taking a glass of drink n finishing it, den tip it upside down to show we finished to the last drop and den act ah lian or some 黑社会老大..

Or trying to hook each other up with a drink..
Or this classy woman going to approach this man in a pub..
but the moment she opens her mouth, its the voice of some low class auntie!
Den man either quickly turn away or start to talk like a low class auntie too!
Haha okie lah very retarded..
But its fun lah!
Haha oh and i saw xiuwen there..
She's in charge and she's just very capable and admirable.. :)
Went upstairs and WOW...
Its pretty..
Me n jiamin were to take cablecar to Harbourfront to receive the guests from their buses..
I would lead them to the lift while jiamin leads them to the cablecars..
Sis would be at Mt Fab to guide them to the function room..

Haha we took the cablecar with Rachel..
At first i felt she was very guy and very tough and 讲义气 type..
Like she will protect others..
Haha but she's SO funny and cute!
She's afraid of heights yet she has to sit the cablecar to Harbourfront..
And she was grumpy cos our cablecar no. was 41..
Haha everything's a taboo..
And she couldnt open her eyes during the journey and when her fren called on her mobile, she was talking with her eyes strained closed and keep saying, "You dun talk to me now lah! i'm in the cablecar, dying already!"
Haha we just cant help but keep laughing at her and snap her pic! :)
Finally when all the guests had arrived, we proceeded back to Mt Fab with C and Rachel..
Haha n C keep forcing Rachel to take picture in the cablecar..
Rachel is just very funny lahs..
Yah anyway we were hungry and couldnt eat the buffet so we had to survive on the nachos outside the function room..
Hoho jiamin I GOT THAT NACHO!! ;D
The dinner had a GREAT host, a face changing performance, and many funny games!
Haha we were absolutely amused by the funny games and seeing the angmohs and foreigners play!
Cos the angmohs were more sporty and not afraid to look stupid so they are really hilarious!

We left earlier that day but it was already 9plus!
We were supposed to work til 8..
But before that, we had our fill of sushis and here's a tour of the female toilet!

After me n elin got our happy results, we decided!
We must celebrate and go shop for a schoolbag!
A new schoolbag for a new year! :D
And the previous night, Miss Elin says..
Lets be focused and only shop for bag!
I was confident abt tat but a little voice told me otherwise..
You'll see......
Yups so we decided to hit bugis!
After walking at Bugis village for an hour, we headed to Bugis Junction to walk somemore..
But out of the 1 hr or so there, our bulk of time was spent in the foodcourt..
There just wasnt what we were looking for!
Not BHG either!
(though i fancied a Carlo Rino bag, which Elin shakes her head violently about..)
Its white eh..But she just says its too small.. wells lucky for her, if not i'll be crying now.. :)
Cant help but notice shoes and heels everywhere i go!
There was a peeptoe in BHG, pretty!
Another heels in Topshop!
Yups and of course, i must do a special on Miss Elin's lunch...
Sighs this girl has no limits to her chilli.... =X

We proceeded to Icon but as i expected, it has closed down..hahaha
So its back to Bugis V!
And Miss elin has barely seen any bags and she suddenly flocked to a shop!
NOT BAG.
Empire rauched tops! I can just see the glint and sparkle in her eyes when she sees all the tops of all sorts of colours from black to blue to purple to red n etc..... And for a mere $10!

Haha and cos of that, i started looking at tops too! And skinny jeans! And cardigans! And shoes!
Sighs elin you got me into trouble!

And our first buy of the day...were cardigans!
Elin bought an electric blue one!
Finally...her long-awaited electric blue! :D
Whereas i bought a white n grey cardigan! Love it!
Den we went to hunt for a bag..
Yes we didnt forget out purpose in Bugis..
And the woman trying to sell Elin's bag feels that she can get into our good books by being thoughtful(she purposely tells us she remembers the bags we were eyeing) and a slow speaker...
i tried to bargain with her but she's one tough auntie!
We raised white flags in surrender.....
After settling our bags, we retreated to BK for a sip and a good rest..
All these frenzy looking at exciting buys and tiring bargaining is seriously draining us!

And because of that top, i resolved to get black long leggings and the black rubber shoes!
(which i have now already gotten :D)
Haha and wells, whats going to Bugis without having our Corochan!
The cravings are immense.. haha!

haha yups and it didnt really feel like it cos we click lah.

i think it amused him more than it amused me though.

Finally, watched Ratatouille!
Haa was supposed to watch a super long time ago with xide and so finally watched it..
I think i would have liked it more if i didnt see so much of the trailers but overall, it was quite funny lahs..
Haha im getting so critical of movies..
Im hard to impress yea.
